The micropractices proposed by the Apotheke Painting Studio Study Group take place in two aspects, linked to the University context, and function similarly to “immersive workshops”, and not as isolated disciplines.

It proposes the continuity of studies, with a targeted character and rigor, or even challenges that permeate the collective. It works with expanded spatiality beyond a traditional support, not as a study of technique or reading of a manual, but rather treats painting as a means for poetic narratives and the construction of a visual thought, which can question the very time of painting. In a micro-practice, the knowledge/doing/acting is situated in the resolution and search for problems that involve the planning, methodology and evaluation of the teaching work and of the work itself that is carried out as Art. In this way, this proposition is directed towards art as an experience in interface with what was proposed by John Dewey, which is the theoretical premise underlying the philosophical attitude of the artist-teacher. Such actions are linked to the research project “The painting studio as a laboratory for teaching and learning in visual arts”, developed at UDESC by Professor Dr. Jociele Lampert.
