PADLET
Since 2021, the Apotheke Painting Studio has been using the Padlet digital tool in teaching, research, and outreach activities. It has become not only a space for recording the work done by participants, but also a structure for thought and interaction. We use it in real time during online classes, as a record of documents and reference texts. In face-to-face teaching, it has become a work table for our digital studio, establishing an operational methodology that has been developed in our research and outreach projects: interaction and continuity, thus following art as experience and the assumptions of John Dewey.
Study Group Meetings Painting Studio Apotheke 2024
The Apotheke Painting Studio study group will continue its research in 2023, starting in the second half of 2022, on the book “How We Think: How Reflective Thinking Relates to the Educational Process, a Re-Exposition” by the American philosopher John Dewey. This is a seminal book for understanding the concept of Reflective Thinking, which enables repercussions for the practice and teaching of visual arts. We will also hold meetings focused on the study and practice of painting, in which we will produce works linked to the dissertation, thesis, and scientific initiation projects of the members of the research group.
In the context of criticism, we have advanced in our work clinic, adding to the evaluation process the reflective condition on the problem of painting, the curation of the exhibition Apotheke em Rede: Entre Pintura e Arte Educação in which we discuss questions such as: how do we produce painting? How do we look at everyday life and verify poetic possibilities? How do we relate painting teaching and artistic practice?
Thus, one of the themes proposed as a study problem for the group was the studio as a time and place for production and reflection.
