The Albers project, conceived and conceived by the Apotheke Painting Studio, presents the proposal THINK PAINTING. The proposal will be developed on site in a small garden attached to a painting studio. It will serve as an example for possible dives into color studies.
Objectives:
- experience painting through actions (artistic work) that configure articulation with concepts of experience and nature.
- develop pictorial notes
- develop a collection of colors identified in nature, including a pictorial glossary
Proposed exercises:
Using the example of Albers, who encouraged his students to collect and observe nature, we propose the following:
*monotype of garden stones and sidewalks
*record of visualities (drawing, watercolor, photography, cyanotype, anthotype)
geometric construction through earth framing
collecting colors through leaves
tree branch decal
use of leaves and traces for collages based on color study
collecting twigs, sticks and organizing files
**we will have: glue, canvas, checkered powder, some pigments, frames for framing, tables and fences
Bring drawing, painting, collage materials, cameras, and whatever else you want individually.
