CONTENT

Painting and color interaction. Introduction to Goethe's Triangle: between collages and art education.

OBJECTIVE

Conduct a theoretical-practical study of Goethe's Color Triangle as a theory about colors through analysis of the composition and decomposition of a pyramidal structure assembled from colored paper cutouts. Propose the practice of exercises based on the models presented and propose the creation of images by the participants with collages, using the primary, secondary, tertiary, complementary and analogous colors of Goethe's Color Triangle.

PROPOSED EXERCISES:

  1. Presentation of the Goethe Color Triangle model based on the teaching material presented. (Acrylic Triangle with colors, chromatic kit, books, collage, drawings, images).

  2. Assembly with the pieces (polyethylene) of the primary colors (yellow, magenta and cyan) of Goethe's Color Triangle, according to the instructions for superimposing the pieces for observations, elaborations and compositions of the secondary and tertiary colors. Material distributed for exercise.

  3. Dialogue to choose and prepare the papers that will be used to assemble the model of Goethe's color triangle, considering the primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. Use scissors, pencil, ruler, and glue. The size will be based on the proposed model (sheet distributed with the drawing of the triangle model).

  4. Construction of the Goethe Color Triangle model by collage.

  5. Production of an image through the process of cutting and pasting papers, using the colors of Goethe's triangle, identifying the chromatic composition. For example: a landscape, a portrait, an object, etc.
