Students from all UDESC courses, university professors and technicians and the interested community.

No previous experience is necessary.

May 7th - Saturday (morning and afternoon)

May 14th - Saturday (morning and afternoon)

May 21 - Saturday (morning and afternoon)

May 28th - Saturday (morning and afternoon)

Schedule : 10:00 - 12:00 - 13:30 - 16:30

PROGRAM

- Presentation of materials and theoretical axis for the study of contrast based on J. Itten (elements of color) and studio practice.

- Studies in still life and human figure.

- Use of oil paint and gouache paint (preferably).

- Each class will feature artists who will discuss the content. Although the course is practical, it has a theoretical approach, with expository and dialogic classes. It is not a course on painting techniques, but rather seeks to provide space and time for pictorial artistic practice, focused on the content of the pictorial process and its chromatic elements.

  • Contrast of the color itself/pure

  • Light/dark contrast

  • Warm/cold contrast

  • Contrast of complementary

  • Simultaneous contrast

  • Quality/Saturation Contrast

  • Quantity/extent contrast

- Classes with demonstration and use of materials.

- Studies in teaching materials on the use of color.

- Support in WhatsApp group and posting in Padlet application for extra work.

- Possibility of using the Udesc studio space (Mondays and Fridays) to carry out work, under the guidance of the teacher

MATERIALS REQUIRED (INDIVIDUAL)

Each participant must have their own individual material:

- Oil and/or gouache paints (preferably), in primary colors, black and white and various colors;

- Palettes and cups

- Spatulas

- Solvents and mediums

- Brushes

- Cleaning kit.
